What did you do before CrossFit?
What did you think after your first CrossFit experience? How does it compare to now?
I could barely get through the warm up without puking! Now I can’t wait to get up for the 6AM class!
What special memories or achievements have you had since you have been at CF Fireball?
When I started on my Crossfit journey, I was unable to do Pull-ups or Hand Stand Push Ups, but now I am able to do both during WODs.
What advice would you give to a newcomer joining CrossFit Fireball?
You are going to be tired and sore when you first start doing Crossfit. After over a year, I still am tired and sore after most WODs but you just have to push through the pain and show up!
How did you become involved with CrossFit?
My wife gave me a membership as a Father’s Day gift. I think she was trying to tell me something!
What is the biggest change you see in yourself since starting CrossFit?
When I started in June of 2014, I weighed in at 245lbs, I had no idea what a snatch, clean or jerk was and could only back squat 135lbs. Right now I weigh 220lbs, can snatch 165lbs, clean and jerk 215 lbs and back squat 295lbs.
What are your hobbies outside of CrossFit? What is your profession?
My hobbies are my three kids. Working hard at Fireball has given me the strength and stamina to keep up with them. I am a firefighter and love my job. The way Crossfit is programmed works hand in hand with the way we respond to emergency calls.
