What is your favorite WOD?
Any workout that requires running, rowing, and many reps. I like long workouts!
What is your least favorite WOD?
Any workout that has anything related to gymnastics.
What is your favorite lift?
Squats or deadlifts? Anything for the booty.
What is your least favorite lift?
What did you do before CrossFit?
Swam in college
What did you think after your first CrossFit experience? How does it compare to now?
I got my butt kicked and thought how out of shape I felt. The workouts are completely different from what I was used to for our swimming lifting. The workouts still kick my butt every time but my body is able to handle them better.
What special memories or achievements have you had since you have been at CF Fireball?
There are way to many memories! I enjoy every day that I get to workout with my Fireball friends and the weird things that happen and are said during the class. It’s the atmosphere in the classes that I love the most.
What advice would you give to a newcomer joining CrossFit Fireball?
Do not be intimidated. I was extremely intimidated when I first started but all the coaches do a great job teaching the movements and showing ways to modify the movements. Also every one at the gym is very supportive.
How did you become involved with CrossFit?
I was lonely working out by myself post swimming career and a friend suggested that I try CrossFit.
What is the biggest change you see in yourself since starting CrossFit?
My confidence in my abilities. I am slowly starting to grow a pair (hahahhaha) and get out of my comfort level to push myself.
What are your hobbies outside of CrossFit? What is your profession?
I coach high school and Special Olympics swimming. I am a graduate student studying Occupational Therapy and I want to go into pediatrics. Oh and I enjoy running marathons.
